While Brummana remains relatively safe, the same cannot be said for all the areas where school buses would normally run. In normal times, children are brought into school on 40 buses. There are, after all, 1200 students.
As of Monday 14th, buses will run again for any children whose parents have given written permission. However, this will not cover all areas. Air attacks continue and the area affected keeps widening. For some areas it simply remains too dangerous to run school buses at this time.
