BHS usually sends out a weekly newsletter with updates of activities and achievements at the school. This week, principal David Gray writes:
We live in confused, dangerous and uncertain times. Last week we sent you a newsletter suffused with the activities of summer which show how much children can achieve and enjoy when they have the chance to do so.
Since then school life has been punctuated by disruption, halts, periods online and time for recovering from the events around us which have caused so much suffering, physical, emotional and psychological.
Here at Brummana High School we are thinking of all those around us who live and work in Lebanon, who have lost loved ones, friends, or their homes and livelihoods. We are also thinking of the world-wide Lebanese diaspora who worry about what is happening to their families and to their country.
Schools are places of hope, of energy, of activity and of the realisation of dreams. Whether it is online, or in person on campus, we shall continue to promote our values of respect, tolerance and of peaceful resolution so that today's children, our leaders of the future, may show us the way to a more prosperous and harmonious world.
To soothe you this week, we send you pictures of our botanical garden, beautiful, natural and peaceful. "Let Nature Be Your Teacher".
